State the title & focus of your work in response to the brief.
envelopes. I want to create a book of one hundred envelopes collected over a 20 day period over christmas.
Identify specific areas of research that you intend to investigate and methods that you will use.
I intend to research envelopes, and gather whatever information i can from them. I want to take information and display it in a illustrative and exciting way. I intend to do this by combining my secondary research(information) and primary research (envelopes) visually.
Identify specific practical methods and technical processes that you intend to use in order to visually develop your ideas.
I want to limit the amount of technology I use for this project; I see envelopes and their contents as very personal items and feel that to tie in with this; the main content of the book needs to be hand made. However, I will need to spent a small amount of time on photoshop adjusting data charts and copies of the actual envelopes. Other than that I will be relying on illustrations, photocopies and collage.
What methods will you use to evaluate the progress and success of your work?
Through my blog and my work books, I am constantly evaluating my progress and the work I produce. Although I find crit sessions in groups helpful even though the evaluation is verbal not written.
